Lighthouse on the Marsh

Project Outline

Helping a charity shine brighter

Romney Resource Centre was a community learning project located in Kent, England. They wanted a change of identity. Amanda King, the Director, wanted the charity to speak for itself, even when she wasn't in the room. Our goal was to enhance the charity's visibility and impact, allowing it to shine even more brightly.

Clarity & Story

RRC had been considering the name 'lighthouse' for their rebrand. We recognised the potential for confusion with other businesses and an actual lighthouse in the area. However, we heard repeated use of the phrase 'on The Marsh' as a description for the local area. This gave us the basis for a distinctive, poetic name and identity with an easy and memorable acronym (LOTM). We developed their story through a variety of inspirational statements, all centred around the idea 'nurturing people's potential to enable brighter futures'.

Design & Touchpoints

We created a new logo and identity system. Touchpoints included building signage, van livery, inspirational posters, welcome cards, and a new website.

Results

The identity created was one that service users could be proud of, whether they were a young student attending the college, or an adult at their community groups. The crystal clear messaging now helps the charity tell its story with ease.

"The quality of the product is outstanding, highly professional and we are all so proud of our 'shop window' now."
